A bit of info about our Brazilian and Latin dancers
Douglas G.Campos
Douglas G.Campos started to attend dance lessons when he was 17 years old. He has been passionate about all things related to dance and choreography ever since. Since 2003, he have worked as a Latin American ballroom dance teacher, teaching both children and adults.
He is a hardworking, energetic and motivated individual with highly versatile dance skills. He has performed in a range of events throughout the UK, such as private and corporate parties as well as charity and official events.
Besides, he regularly teaches and performs in a number of venues in London, including Guanabara, Corbet Place, Kiss Club and Cafe de Paris.
Gladys Cavalcante
Gladys Cavalcante is a professional Brazilian Ballroom and Latin Dancer, Stage Performer and Instructor. Brazilian from Rio de Janeiro, she began her training in 1993 at the most famous Brazilian Ballroom Dance School, ‘Jaime Arouxa Centre of Dance.’ Currently based in London She is working with several bands, teaching and performing all over England and Europe. She is specialized in Brazilian dance styles like Samba no Pe, Samba de Gafieira, Bolero, Lambada, Zouk, Salsa, Tango and Forró. She is qualified in the UK as an Aerobics Instructor. Her dance style focuses on the balance technique, confidence, gracefulness, feminine, sensual and spontaneous performance.
Samara Reis
Originaly from Brasilia She grew up in Sao Paulo, where she got to know samba and it’s influences. Early training in Brazilian partner (Samba-Rock, Lambada, Gafieira, Pagode Paulista, Bolero) dancing has informed a personal aproach to samba, with a focus on elegance and good posture. A celebrated Passista, she gained her expertise performing with Sao Paulo’s Vai-Vai Samba School for 5 years, in 2003 was voted the Rainha da Bateria of the London School of Samba and this year was nominated the Rainha da Bateria for Coburg International Samba Festival. It’s been 11 years since the beggining of her professional career as a Samba teacher/dancer. Currently based in London she is working with several bands, teaching and performing all over England and Europe in private and corporate parties as well as charity events. She has appeared on TV with Will Smith, Paul O’Grady show, Mc’Fly, Jamie Oliver, Friendly Fires at NME Awards 2009 among others.
Veronica Barriga De Tone
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raised in Spain. Dancer and professional singer. Her dance background is in classical ballet, jazz and contemporary, moving into Cuban salsa, New York salsa and brazilian samba. Veronica has appeared on TV with singers like Carlos Baute and Elvis Crespo. She also teaches Jazz, Hip hop, and Salsa Aerobics.
Pilar Munoz
Born in Spain she danced at early stage starting with gymnastics, flamenco and salsa. Later she trained as a choreographer and dance teacher in Barcelona were she was teaching hip hop and other styles regularly in gyms. Her passion for mixing styles had take her to move to London and train Capoeira, Samba, Ballet, Circus skills, Contemporary and Afro. Currently she teaches salsa regularly and has perform in national and international salsa congress like GBSEX in Manchester, Mambo City, Croatia Summer festival, Ireland, Sotland, etc… as well as performing other latin dances, hip hop, circus and contemporary dance in Dubai, Bahrain, Al Ain, Zurich, Malta, Spain and UK.
Elin Ritter
Growing up in Spain she started dancing by learning sevillanas. Later after spending a year in New York she got a taste for salsa, and since moving to London, has explored many facets of latin dance, as well as capoeira. She developed a passion for samba, and has performed as Float Highlight in Rio carnival with Mangueira and Vila Isabel. Also passista and later destaque for London School of Samba for over 8 years she also designs and makes samba costumes, and has performed samba at Stricly Come Dancing, Cartier International Polo, Guards Polo Club, Chinawhite - Pelé’s birthday party among others.
