Rosa Perez

Cuban born, with a background of classical ballet, she joined the ballet company “Centro Pro Danza de Cuba ” in Havana, performing leading roles in Swan lake, The Nutcracker, Coppelia and many more.

When she came to the UK in 2007, she was immediately crowned “The Reggaeton Queen” 100% Cuban, she is one of the most charismatic performers around today. Her style is unique and wildly entertaining.

Her fusion of raw-energy reggaeton from the backstreet of Havana and her classical ballet education came with her from Cuba.

In june this year she appeared in the live semi finals of ” Britain’s Got Talent ” where she was member of the group Dance Flavourz.

She also feature in the current video for singer Aggro Santos in his recently released single, Saint Or Sinner.

In the past months she has worked, teach and perform, in Dubai, Turkey, Spain, etc..

Pilar Munoz

Spanish born, she danced at early stage starting with gymnastics, flamenco and salsa. Later she trained as a choreographer and dance teacher in Barcelona were she was teaching hip hop and other styles regularly in gyms. Her passion for mixing styles had taken her to move to London and train Capoeira, Samba, Bollywood, Ballet, Circus skills, Contemporary and Afro. Currently she teaches salsa regularly and has perform in national and international salsa congress like GBSEX in Manchester, Mambo City, Croatia Summer festival, Ireland, Sotland, to name a few.

She has appeared dancing in numerous TV programs such as Britain’s Got Talent, Alan Titchmarsh show, Big Brother Big mouth, MTV videos and danced at numerous concerts for artists like Daddyy Yankee, Aggros Santos, Luis Lema, Robin del Castillo, etc…

Her choreographies have been seen in various big festivals like Glastonbury, Big Chill, Travel Destinations, Carnaval del Pueblo and travelled with her dance productions to Dubai, Bahrain, Tanzania, Switzerland, Malta, Turkey, Cyprus, Crete, Spain and all over UK.

Leonardo has relocated to the UK from Cuba where he worked as a professional dancer. He trained at the Tropicana Cabaret School of Dance, Santiago de Cuba and subsequently worked as a professional dancer in the world famous Tropicana cabaret.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pilar Munoz

Originaly from Brasilia She grew up in Sao Paulo, where she got to know samba and it’s influences. Early training in Brazilian partner (Samba-Rock, Lambada, Gafieira, Pagode Paulista, Bolero) dancing has informed a personal aproach to samba, with a focus on elegance and good posture.

A celebrated Passista, she gained her expertise performing with Sao Paulo’s Vai-Vai Samba School for 5 years, in 2003 was voted the Rainha da Bateria of the London School of Samba and this year was nominated the Rainha da Bateria for Coburg International Samba Festival. It’s been 11 years since the beggining of her professional career as a Samba teacher/dancer.

Currently based in London she is working with several bands, teaching and performing all over England and Europe in private and corporate parties as well as charity events.

She has appeared on TV with Will Smith, Paul O’Grady show, Mc’Fly, Jamie Oliver, Friendly Fires at NME Awards 2009 among others.

Gladys Cavalcante is a professional Brazilian Ballroom and Latin Dancer, Stage Performer and Instructor. From Rio de Janeiro, she began her training in 1993 at the most famous Brazilian Ballroom Dance School, ‘Jaime Arouxa Centre of Dance.’

Currently based in London Gladys has been teaching regular classes & workshops around London, for all ages and dance performing all over England and Europe including Brazilian Embassy, West End clubs, corporate events, television and many festivals.

Gladys is specialized in Brazilian dance styles like Samba no Pe, Samba de Gafieira, Bolero, Lambazouk, Salsa,and Forró. Also She had danced others styles as classical Indian, Tango, Afro, Hip-Hop and Bellydance. She had attended the Teacher Training Latin Collective in England, International Ballroom Dance Festivals in Rio de Janeiro and Brasazouk Congress in Oct 2010.

In 2009, Gladys & her partner were runners-up in the 1st Forro Competition held in London. Engagement and conexion with the audience are Gladys’ hallmarks. She has produced a Brazilian dance show ‘Brazil: Rhythms & Colours’ that is currently being shown in Britain.

Pilar Munoz

Brazilian born, he started to attend dance lessons when he was 16 years old. He is passionate about all things related to dance and choreography ever since. Since 2003, he qualified at UKA as a Latin American Ballroom Dance Teacher and also a Zumba Instructor for both children and adults. He is a hardworking, energetic and motivated individual with highly versatile dance skills.

He has performed in a range of events throughout the UK, such as private and corporate parties as well as charity and official events. He teaches regularly and perform in a number of venues in London, including Guanabara, Dance Attic, Reebok, Corbet Place, Fitness First and London School of Samba.

Cristina is originally from Barcelona, Spain.

Cristina has been dancing since she was 3years old beginning with Rhythmic Gymnastics, it mixes artistic Gymnastics with Ballet, Cristina entered national competitions when she was just 8 years old and from that little age learned that anything you have a great passion for requires a lot of commitment, effort, and hard work.

Cristina is a professional choreographer, instructor and dancer trained in Latin ( Salsa, Reggeaton, Samba, …), Belly Dance and Funky/Hip Hop; she won various competitions in Spain and has been part of many different productions and events around the world. She uses her gymnastics background to deliver jaw dropping BellyDance fusion movements with a feminity unsurpassed.

Cristina has created her own style, the precision of her Latin steps and Hip Hop moves mixed with her raw upbeat Egyptian BellyDance style; she is a pleasure to watch. Music Videos, Stage Back dancing, Theater Shows, TV Programmes, Parades, Exclusives and Private Parties are some of the Cristina´s latest Dance jobs.

Pilar Munoz

London based professional Belly dancer, instructor and choreographer. Born and raised in the UK but of Persian-Iranian ethnicity, she provides a genuine Middle Eastern authenticity .

Pegah regularly performs at high profile events around the world, working with London’s elite clientele. Her belly dance style and movement is best described as elegant, graceful and mesmerising. Pegah has trained in numerous dance styles from a young age, including contemporary, street, hip hop, and commercial dance.

She specialises in several belly dance styles traditional and modern, including Egyptian & Turkish, and especially renowned for her intricate isolations to drum solos.

Some of Pegah’s credits include performing for R&B Superstar Akon, Alabina, Fashion TV, Asian Music Awards, Urban Music Awards, numerous music videos and Television appearances ITV, BBC, NUTS TV, B4U, and Flava TV Sky Channels.

Trained at East 15 Acting School. Oliver was born in the Dominican Republic, grew up in New York from the age of seven, and now resides in London.

At the age of 21 Oliver decided to make a big decision in his life, by moving to England in hope to get into an English drama school and pursue his dream to be a professional actor, and offer the acting industry, a unique individual.

In England, he was fortunate to work as a dancer for artist such as Jamelia, Samantha Mumba, Victoria Spice, and is still working in both fields and teaching kids from the age of 5 including adult classes.

She attended WAC Performing Arts and is a very versatile dancer who specialise in Hip Hop, Jazz, Samba and Bollywood.

In October 2010 Chevonne choreographed a dance routine with three other girls for Dotstar music Video Xpensive. She also performed on Britain’s got talent with Dance Flavourz and got to the semi finals which led her to working on Aggros Santo’s Video shoot for Saint or Sinner.

Chevonne has performed in various different corporate events and festivals such as Glastonbury Festival, Carnaval Del Pueblo, Stylish Nights and a Masquerade Event.

We have a selection of bands that we think best represent the style of music. We work closely with them to create staged shows with dancers not listed here include Brazilian carnival drums, Arabic live music, African drums, Indian classical music and Pop/ R&B.

Brazilian

Typical Brazilian songs, their repertoire goes from classic brazilian popular music, Samba and Bossa nova to modern Axe and Funk. This band is perfect for an authentic feel of the mixed brazilian culture.

Their variety is perfect for staged shows with dancers as they can play most of the brazilian dance rhythms like lambada, samba de gafieira, etc…

Leandra Varanda – lead vocalist for the UK’s premier Brazilian samba band Sambaviva, has also built a superb reputation in the UK – touring and recording with choro/samba group Caratinga. “a genuine vocal talent” VortexJazz .

With her magnetic stage presence and captivating voice, Leandra sings some classic Brazilian tunes (Sambas/ Enredos) with an 8-piece band, bringing together all the elements of great samba; irresistibly pulsating percussion grooves, sensuous harmonies and the unmistakable sound of guitar, cavaquinho and horns evoking long, hot Rio nights.

After 7 years of playing throughout Britain Zeu Azevedo (accordion and vocal) shares the stage with Forrodaqui band, Felipe Karam, Klaus Stahr, Lucas Amorim, Kaw Regis and Rafael Delfino. They overcame their homesickness through their music by playing traditional Brazilian folk music. They Play Forró that mixes European, African and indigenous rhythms and has its own distinctive dance.

Spanish

 

Rosa Perez

Spanish pop band playing gypsy kings, Catalan Ruma, Spanish pop and flamenco. Great for a night of fun entertainment.

Her singer Graciela Rodriguez comes from Galicia, Spain. She moved to London seven years ago. She holds a Degree of Music Teacher Sciences and Singing Diploma, as well as a PG Diploma in Vocal Jazz by the Royal Academy of Music in London. She was the soloist soprano of the Choir of the University of Vigo, and she also did a tour all over Europe with Bjork and Voices of Europe in the year 2000. She performed both as a soprano and a jazz vocalist with numerous bands.

Some of her last jobs include: the recording and composition of the song "I adore you", featuring as a singer/actress in the Spanish film Relatos, awarded in the San Sebastian, Tokyo and India International Film Festivals 2009/2010; featured singer in the album "Dub No Frontiers", by UK acclaimed producer Adrian Sherwood; featured singer in the single "Latino Girl", by Subbubble Records. She is currently producing her first pop album, due to be released by the end of 2010. She is also the lead singer of several bands.

Latin band that plays salsa, chacha, cumbia etc.. Robin born in Cali Colombia has grown fast and has become internationally known.

His success went beyond UK’s frontiers, and extended to countries like: Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Dubai, Cyprus, Netherlands, Belgium where many people witnessed his talent and charisma on stage.

Robin del Castillo was one of the artists nominated for the "GSD Media and Latin American Music award UK 2009"[6], in the following categories: Best Latin song of the year with ‘"Aquella Mujer"’, Best Latin music Video also with ‘"Aquella Mujer"’, and the "Revelation Latino".

They are passionate about creating and playing exceptional music. They are proud to have performed recently at The Salsa Congress in Bournemouth, Brecon Jazz Festival, Imperial Jazz Festival London, The Royal National Theatre, Ronnie Scotts, El Floridita, Carnival de Cuba, Bar Rumba, Jagz Jazz Club, and Cubana in London.

Playing an energetic mix of traditional Cuban salsa, son, timba Cubana, with a little cumbia, reggaeton and merengue for good measure, Cuban Connection are available as a 5 or 6 piece band.

Formed during 2007 by three musicians from Brazil , NATEMA is a new and unique Live Act concept bringing unused and visceral mixture of electronic music and high technology plus the peculiarity of Brazilian roots with its rhythm and exotic/folk instruments.

NATEMA has been performing at main clubs and festivals in United Kingdom such as Heaven, Pacha, Koko, Dingwalls, Cargo, Jalouse, Movida, Lockstock Festival, Favela Chic, The Withe house, Guanabara, and many more.

The individual members of Natema have been active in Live Music Scene for several years.
